The Rifles Berkshire & Wiltshire Museum at The Wardrobe in Salisbury Cathedral Close will host a short Act of Remembrance to mark the 50th anniversary (28 Oct) of the bombing of the Sandes Home at Abercorn Barracks, Ballykinler by the Provisional IRA which resulted in the deaths of 2 soldiers serving with 1 DERR.
Those attending should arrive by 10:30 hours and the Act of Remembrance will be followed by a light sandwich lunch. The event will conclude at 13:00 hours.
Tickets will cost £5 and will be made available on the Association website. There will be only 40 tickets available for this event.

Due to the redevolpment of the Abercorn Bks area, moves are under way, that once located, to have this recovered and relocated to The Wardrobe Memorial Garden
