.60 years ago, the 1st Bn The Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment (Berkshire & Wiltshire's) took part in Malta's Independence Day on the 21st September 1964. In order to celebrate this occasion and to bring back many memories, I have arranged with the AFM, (Armed Forces Malta) to play our Regimental March (FARMERSBOY). Both, myself and Dennis (Hank) Barnes have taken it upon ourselves to represent our regiment by attending the Church Service in St John's Cathedral. This service will also be attended by the President and Prime Minister of Malta, along with many other dignitary guests.

Son of a Reluctant Immigrant.

Mr Denis Lock.  The family of Mr Denis Lock have informed us of his death before Christmas 2023, after a short illness.  Denis served with 1 DERR between 1963 - 71.
